Clinical Medicine Salary in Kenya

7126

The salary of a clinical medicine officer in Kenya range between Ksh 30,000 and Ksh90,000 depending on the hospital they work for. Those working for government institutions like KNH earn an average salary of Ksh40,000. For private hospitals like Aga Khan and Karen Hospitals, the salary can go up to Ksh90,000.

The qualification also matters. Someone with a degree in clinical medicine earns more than one with a diploma course. With a degree, one would earn in excess of Ksh 60,000 but for a diploma, the salary will be less than Ksh70,000.

A list of the highest paying institutions for Clinical Medicine staff are:

  • The Karen Hospital
  • The Aga Khan Hospital
  • The Mater Hospital
  • Nairobi Hospital
  • NGOs
  • Kemri

Kemri pays clinical medicine officers between Ksh60,000 and Ksh110,000 every month. Those with master’s degree earn between Ksh110,000 and Ksh200,000.

Clinical medicine is a better course than Bachelor of Education or front office courses. If one employs himself/herself by starting a clinic, they will make over Ksh100,000 every month.
