How to Make Money Online in Ghana

Thousands of online opportunities are available in Ghana where most of them are money making ventures. Jobs are scarce and jobless graduates are many, being your boss is paramount, which is why making money online is key to stability in life. This article will list and explain various ways you can make money online in 2020.

I am one of many bloggers who have immensely benefitted from online opportunities. I started blogging in 2011 when many people didn’t have any idea of what blogging entails. Ever since, I have earned more than $800,000 from blogging.

To start making money online in Ghana,

  • Blogging

Blogging is the most preferred way of making money online because it guarantees long-term passive income. To become a blogger, you need an active website and ways of making money. For beginners, the required capital is $50 to $100.

For a website to become live, it needs a domain name and hosting plan, which can be acquired from Bluehost. The cheapest plan is Basic plan that costs $3.95 per month, to get a domain name and hosting space, click on this link

If you wish to get traffic from Ghana and beyond, it’s advisable to register a domain with .com extension—Bluehost sells such a domain for $11.To search for one ,follow this link

At first, you may use a free WordPress theme but with time, you have to shift to a Premium Theme. For my case, I prefer premium themes because they have more features and are SEO friendly. You can buy a theme for as low as $10.If you want to see a list of elegant themes at Themeforest, click here to visit their website

  • How to make money from your blog

Since you are a beginner, I won’t advise you to go for affiliate marketing because it might frustrate you, sign up for AdSense, MGID or AdSense is the best way to earn money from a blog. Before you apply for approval, make sure your blog meets these AdSense Approval Requirements:

—Your site should not contain alcohol and drug abuse content

—-Each of your articles should have more than 500 words

—-At least 2 articles should contain 2,000 words each

—-Your website should not contain adult or gambling content

—You should not apply while using a free domain

—Your blog should have a premium theme, click here to get one

—Your blog should be at least 3 weeks old

—Invalid /fake traffic will not be accepted

—-You should apply when your blog has more than 20 articles

—Your blog should not contain pirated content

—Your articles should be original

—-AdSense does not approve health niche blogs anymore

If AdSense rejects your application, shift to MGID or Approval for MGID is almost automatic.

If you’ll be using AdSense, the amount of money the platform will yield depends on traffic. A blog that gets 1 million visits per month, will earn more than $1,200. The same traffic will generate at least $700 per month if you were to use MGID.

  • Earn money from YouTube

The second way to earn money online in Ghana is through YouTube. There are people who don’t like writing posts but prefer videos, YouTube is the most ideal destination for them.

If you are a comedian, photographer, tourist or educationist, create a YouTube channel and upload videos that you believe will be of much help to your audience.

Here is what you need to do in order to start earning from YouTube:

—Get over 1,000 subscribers

—–Your videos should be original and unique

—-You should not post adult content in your channel

—–Your videos should not contain vulgar language

—-Your videos must get at least 4,000 hours of watch time

—-Your channel should be more than 12 months old

Once you meet those terms, apply to AdSense for monetization—your application will be reviewed within 48 hours.

If you get 100,000 subscribers and you are capable of producing at least 5 videos per month, you’ll earn more than $1,000 every month. YouTube pays $1 per 1,000 views. To earn more, make sure you post as many good videos as possible.

  • Start selling betting tips

If I were you, I’ll create a blog and start selling betting tips to my clients. There are over 10 million gamblers in Ghana and over 1 million purchase betting tips online. The best category of tips are football predictions.

Since Facebook does not permit anyone to sell tips through the platform, I would suggest that you create a blog for the same. To come up with a professional blog, you need a capital of $50 to $300.Buy a domain name and hosting package from Bluehost, click here to visit the website

This is one of the online businesses that will easily make you a millionaire. Assuming that you have 1,000 clients every month and each of them pays $20, that makes a total of $20,000. In a single year, you’ll make more than $200,000.

Before you start selling tips, you have to show your readers a reason to subscribe…start by offering free tips on your site, then introduce the premium ones later. There are several WordPress themes available on Themeforest which you can use to post free tips, click here to buy a professional theme

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are three social media channels where you can sell stuff. The most common sold products include: shoes, clothes, electronics and smartphones. The only challenge you’ll face is growing the pages to get sizeable number of followers. If you manage at least 50,000 followers per page, then you are good to go.

  • Start an e-commerce website like Jumia

E-commerce is a lucrative business in Ghana but it needs trust, consistency and good customer services. If you can deliver quality goods in time, your business will succeed.

I have observed and realized that there is no single company that provides a platform for other merchants to advertise. This is a golden opportunity for those intending to start online shops. Create a website that displays products on sale either from you or from other people.

Your first task is to garner as many followers as possible to enable companies recognize you. Once your pages become popular, corporates will approach you for adverts.

Some companies will pay up to $100 for answering all the questions in the survey.

  • Write Guest Posts

If you are a writer, write guest posts and submit them to local and international blogs and get paid. What you need is to contact any blog you know and inform them of the intention to submit a guest post. Some of them will opt to pay you. Even if they don’t pay at first, if your work is good, they will eventually start seeking for more articles which they will pay for.

  • Buy and sell domain name

Create a database of domains which you buy and sell later when the demand is high. You will buy a domain name for $10 only and after one year, sell the same for $2,000.

This is good business for bloggers who are serious about making money online—they can make even more than $10,000 per month by just selling domains.

  • Trade in Bitcoins

If you manage to identify a genuine company that’s selling Bitcoins, don’t hesitate to buy some and sell later when the prices are high. You can buy one Bitcoin for $6,600 and sell the same for $10,000 after two weeks.

  • Sell photos and videos online

Companies like Shutterstock buy photos online and sell them to clients. Even if you are in Ghana, you can still sell them to Shutterstock.Alternatively, create your own social media accounts and a website which you will use to market yourself. Local blogs will buy photos and videos from you if they find them relevant.
