Netherlands has over 100 universities that offer MBA program. Admission requirements to various universities in Holland have almost similar requirements but with slight differences. We are going to list the most common requirements and specific requirements by various universities.

Basic requirements include, a business related degree and proficient in English language. For foreign citizens you have to process your VISA, which is not a difficult process.

At the University of Amsterdam, here are admission requirements to MBA course.

Admission requirements

Applicants for the Amsterdam MBA programme must have the following:

Academic credentials:  

a degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD) from a recognised research university. With a degree issued by a University of Applied Sciences (HBO), you will need to take the Pre-master’s programme (20 weeks) first.

Relevant work experience:

a minimum of three years post-graduate full-time work experience

GMAT or GRE report: 

a minimum GMAT score of 600 (applicants with a GRE score, please check the GMAT equivalent of your GRE score using the GRE Comparison Tool for Business Schools)

Candidates with a quantitative Master’s degree (e.g. MSc in Econometrics or Mathematics) from an internationally recognised research University may be exempt from the GMAT/ GRE requirement. Exemptions can only be confirmed once the MBA Admissions Committee has received and reviewed your full application file.

English proficiency:

a minimum TOEFL of 100 or IELTS of 7.0 is required

You may be exempt from this requirement (1) if you are a native speaker of English; (2) if you have two years of international professional work experience; (3) if you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree taught in English [Please note that your degree certificate or transcripts should mention that the language of instruction was English. If the language of instruction is not mentioned on the transcript or degree certificate, you will need to submit a letter from your higher education institute stating that the curriculum was completely taught in English]; (4) if you obtained a Dutch VWO high school diploma. Exemptions can only be confirmed once the MBA Admissions Committee has received and reviewed your full application file.

UNIVERSITY OF KENT MBA ADMISSION REQUIREMENT FOR NETHERLAND STUDENTS

MBA and postgraduate business programmes

Postgraduate

To apply for a postgraduate taught programme at Kent Business School applicants need to submit:

  • Proof of academic achievement. This normally would be an honours degree (2:1 or above) from a UK or other approved university and/or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • A ‘Statement of Purpose’ outlining your reasons for applying to the programme. A programme specific essay may be required for borderline applications.
  • Two references at least one of which must be academic.
  • Proof of English Language proficiency, please see below

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS 7.0 (no less than 6.5 in reading and writing)
  • Cambridge Advanced Certificate A

In addition applicants applying for the MSc Value Chain Management programme who meet the admissions criteria will be required to have a personal telephone interview with the Programme Director as part of the admissions process.

Kent MBA programme

You can apply for the Kent MBA online via the University of Kent’s online prospectus. Please ensure all supporting documentation is submitted with your online application form or scanned and emailed to [email protected]. You will be required to show the originals of your scanned documents when you come to enrol onto the programme. On receipt of your online application, you will receive an acknowledgement email.
All applicants who meet the admissions criteria will be required to have a personal telephone interview with the Programme Director as part of the Admissions process.

What entry requirements do you need?

To apply for the Kent MBA you will need to submit:

  • A completed online application form
  • Proof of academic achievement. This normally would be an honours degree from a UK or other approved university and/or an equivalent professional qualification. Exceptions will be considered for senior managers with more than ten years work experience.
  • A ‘Statement of Purpose’ outlining your reasons for applying to the programme. A programme specific essay may be required for borderline applications.
  • A full and detailed curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé in which you demonstrate your career progression. A minimum of three years’ managerial work experience is required to apply for the Kent MBA.
  • Copy of the photo ID page of your current passport for UKVI immigration regulations. (International Students only)
  • Two professional references, one of which must be from your current employer covering at least two years’ experience.
  • Applicants are required to take the GMAT and achieve a good test score, which is balanced across all parts of the GMAT. A minimum GMAT score of 580 or equivalent GRE score will be required from students (Comparison tool:www.ets.org/s/gre/flash/bschool/comparison). Lower test scores will be considered on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Programme Director. Those applicants with five or more years of work experience or who already hold a Masters degree will be required to submit a ‘GMAT waiver form’ with their application form. The GMAT requirement may be waived only at the discretion of the Programme Director and only in exceptional circumstances.

MAASTRICHT UNIVERSITY MBA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission requirements

To be eligible for admission, you need to adhere to the following minimum requirements:

Educational background

Bachelor’s degree from a recognised research university or university of applied sciences

Work experience

Five years of relevant work experience obtained after your bachelor’s degree

Language proficiency

Proficiency in English, including reading, writing and speaking

What to expect.

You can submit your MBA application (for the Full-time MBA programme starting in January 2018) at any time during the year. Interviews and evaluations take place in rounds.

If you wish to be eligible for an interview round, you would need to contact our Marketing and Admissions team.

Once we receive your application, a first evaluation will be conducted. We’ll invite eligible candidates to an admissions interview in the next available round. Interviews are conducted by an RSM alumnus or alumna, staff member or faculty member. Please note that we will only interview candidates that have submitted a full application including a GMAT or GRE score. The admissions team will make its decision and let you know as soon as possible after each evaluation round.

Your three essays should address the following topics and be around 500 words per essay:
1. How do you see your career developing and how will this programme help you achieve your goals?
2. Describe how the socio-economic environment in which you live/work impacts your business decisions. Please explain your answer and use examples from your own experience whenever possible.
3. Describe the most difficult decision you have made and its effect on you.
