Bachelor of Real Estate Management is offered at the University of Nairobi,KU,KUAT and MKU.Admission requirements for the course are as follows:

JKUAT Bachelor of Real Estate Admission Requirements

Bachelor of Real Estate: 4 Years

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) with a minimum aggregate of B- (minus) and C+ (plus) as the minimum grade in the following cluster subjects: Alternative A(English or Kiswahili, Mathematics, Physics, Geography or Building, Construction or Drawing, Design or Economics or Commerce or Accounting; OR Alternative B (English or Kiswahili, Mathematics, Physical Science, Geography/Building, Design or Economics or Construction or Drawing, Commerce or Accounting. A holder of a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Diploma (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline, with credit or distinction may be considered.

Mount Kenya University Bachelor of Real Estate Management Entry Requirements

KCSE or equivalent certificate with a minimum of C+ and grade C (plain) in both Mathematics and English or similar grades in an equivalent examination approved by the University Senate in liaison with Commission for University Education CUE Or Applicants who are in possession of a relevant Diploma.

Course Duration
The course takes duration of four academic years (8 semesters).

Kenyatta University Bachelor of Science in Real Estates Management Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements
The basic admission requirement shall be the minimum entry requirements set for entry into the public universities, which is an average of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

In addition, candidates are expected to have obtained at least a grade C+ (plus) in each of the following subject clusters:
• Cluster 1: Mathematics
• Cluster II: English or Kiswahili
• Cluster III: Physics or Chemistry or Biology or Accounts or Commerce or Economics
• Cluster IV: Geography or Agriculture or History or Building Construction or Drawing and Design or Woodwork

KACE (‘A’ Level) Applicants or Equivalent:

Two Principal Passes in any one of the following subjects: Economics, History, Geography, Commerce, or any other relevant subject, and a credit pass in the English language and Mathematics at KCE level or equivalent.

Diploma Holders:
Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Diploma or its equivalent in: Building Construction, Architectural Studies, Land Surveying and Civil Engineering; or Diploma in Estate Agency and Property Management from Kenyatta University or any other institution of higher learning recognized by Kenyatta University Senate. Candidates with a Diploma in Technology (Dip. Tech) in Land Administration from an institution recognized by Kenyatta University senate.

University of Nairobi Bachelor of Real Estate Admission Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the minimum University of Nairobi General Admission criteria as provided for under statute XXII.  In addition, applicants with the following qualifications will be eligible for consideration for admission into the degree programme:

  1. K.C.S.E. Applicants or EquivalentMean Grade C+ with a minimum of grade C+ in the following subject clusters:

Cluster 1: Mathematics

Cluster II: English or Kiswahili

Cluster III: Physics or Chemistry or Biology or Accounts or Commerce or Economics

Cluster IV: Geography or Agriculture or History or Building Construction or Drawing and Design or Woodwork;

(b)       KACE (‘A’ Level) Applicants or Equivalent:  Two Principal Passes in any one of the following subjects: Economics, History, Geography, Commerce, or any other relevant subject, and a credit pass in the English language and Mathematics at KCE level or equivalent.

(c)       Diploma Holders:  Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Diploma or its equivalent in:  Building Construction, Architectural Studies, Land Surveying and Civil Engineering; or Diploma in Estate Agency and Property Management from University of Nairobi or any other institution of higher learning recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate.

(d)       Degree Holders:  A holder of a University degree or its equivalent from a recognized University in the following areas:  Architecture, Engineering, Design, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commerce, Building Economics and Planning.
