James Mworia is among the most educated CEOs in Kenya. The Centum Investment CEO’s CV is highly decorated that anyone intending to replace him at the investment company should think otherwise.
Mworia was born in 1978. He attended Alliance High School, Strathmore University, and the University of Nairobi. He has a Bachelor of Laws from Nairobi University. He is also a certified public accountant and a chartered financial analyst.
The 38-year-old joined Centum as an Intern in 2001. In 2005 he was appointed as the Investment Manager and later the CEO in 2008.
In 2008 he was just 30, the youngest CEO of a leading investment firm in East Africa.
Besides being the CEO of Centum, Mworia was also credited for being the first Kenyan to complete the CFA course the shortest time.
