Makerere is the best university in Uganda. When a student aspires to join the institution, they must first figure out which marketable course they should study. A marketable course is one with better salaries and more employment opportunities.
Some courses like front office and teaching may have more opportunities but are not well paying. Employees in these sectors earn as little as UGX 100,000 per month. A good career is one that can pay in excess of UGX 1 million per month but they are few.
A marketable course should also allow one to employ themselves. One good course is a Degree in Medicine. Even if you don’t secure employment, you can start your own clinic and earn a living.
