UMMA University is one of the best universities in Kenya. The fees structure for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the institution is as follows:
Tuition is charged by the University based on service provided to students. Umma University, while not the cheapest institution for degree programmes, aims to provide value for money to its students.
Currently, the following are the tuition fees for various programmes:
Bachelor of Business Management
Kshs. 63,000 per semester for East Africans
Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Sharia
Kshs. 50,000 per semester for East Africans
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Kshs. 70,000 per semester for East Africans
Bachelor of Science Nursing
Direct Entry – Kshs. 70,000 per semester for East Africans
Upgrading – Kshs. 50,000 per semester for East Africans
Additional Fees: Nursing Council Fees Kshs. 22,000.
Diploma and Certificate Programmes
Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance: Kshs. 33,000 per semester
Certificate/Diploma in Information Technology: Kshs. 30,000 per semester
Certificate/Diploma in Business Management: Kshs. 23,000 per semester
Certificate/Diploma in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies: Kshs. 20,000 per semester
Accommodation at the University Hostels is considered affordable. Prospective students should contact the office of the Dean of students and request for schedule of accommodation and catering costs.
From the fees structure above, it can be noted that UMMA charges reasonable fees for students at all levels. A diploma course goes for Ksh 100,000 at most while a degree course goes for Ksh 500,000 at most.
