Undergraduate application overview
Every year in January the University invites applications for the degree programmes on offer from prospective students. The advertisement is flighted in the national press and on the University website.
University of Zimbabwe programmes have varied selection criteria depending on the nature of the programme. To apply an applicant must meet the minimum entry requirements; however acceptance depends on competition from the other applicants.
Degree and Entrance Requirements
For admission to programmes of study at the UZ for any first degree, a student must have attained qualifications in the ZIMSEC / CAMBRIDGE examinations or equivalent as specified under special requirements.
All applicants MUST have passed at least five subjects, including English language at ‘O’ level and at least two ‘A’ Level passes.
(N.B: at ‘O’ level only grades A, B and C are accepted)

Successful applicants will be notified by mid May 2016 through the press, sms and the addresses provided. Successful applicants for the February intake will be expected to register in the week ending 19 February 2016. Those accepted for the August intake will be expected to register from 04-08 July 2016.
