College of Insurance is a unique institution that offer diploma and certificate courses in the line of Insurance.
The following is a list of courses offered at the institution.
This department coordinates all Insurance Courses that include the following;
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) In Insurance
The Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance Examinations is mandatory for all insurance agents, insurance investigators and motor assessors (who have not otherwise been exempted by the Commissioner of Insurance) before being registered under the Insurance Act.
- Certificate Course in Insurance (CCI)
The Certificate Course in Insurance is designed for ‘O’ level school leavers. The minimum entry requirement is grade C in K.C.S.E examination or equivalent. The course provides an adequate base for a successful career in Insurance. This is whether one expects to be employed on completion or wish to set up a business as an insurance agent or to pursue further qualification in insurance.
- Diploma in Insurance (AIIK) (KENYA)
After many years of consultation an agreement was finally reached with the Charted Insurance Institute (CII) London to enable the College provide a localized version of the Diploma in Insurance. The IIK (Insurance Institute of Kenya) diploma as is locally known has been designed to achieve international rating and acceptance. The whole programme has an Associate and Fellowship structure. Upon completion of the Associate component, a qualifier may apply to join the Fellowship component.
- Diploma in Insurance (DIPCII) (LONDON)
A major attraction of the Diploma (DIP CII) is that it accelerates the successful candidate towards obtaining 120 credits which counts towards achieving 290 credits required for the Advanced Diploma in Insurance. (ACII)
- ACII Advanced Diploma in Insurance (LONDON)
A student is required to obtain 290 credits for the Advanced Diploma in Insurance. (ACII)
