The International School of Los Angeles has teamed up with InfoSnap to offer a fully online application process. To submit an online application, click here to apply now, create an InfoSnap/International School of Los Angeles family account. You will be taken to an introduction page with instructions for filling out the form.
You may use the online application to apply early and put your child on our waiting list for future years regardless of his/her current age. Early applications indicate interest in and commitment to bilingualism and bilingual education.

Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten (Pre-elementary programs)
Age is determined by the cut-off date of December 31. This means that children applying to:
- Preschool/Petite Section must be three years old by December 31 of the year of entry.
- Pre-K/Moyenne Section must be four years old by December 31 of the year of entry.
- Kindergarten/Grande Section must be five years old by December 31 of the year of entry.
Please note that any child entering our school should be fully toilet-trained.
Petite, Moyenne, Grande Section de Maternelle
Comme en France nous utilisons le calendrier civil pour placer les élèves dans la classe appropriée. Pour entrer en petite section, l’enfant doit avoir 3 ans au plus tard au 31 décembre de l’année en cours. De même en moyenne section et grande section, il faut avoir respectivement 4 et 5 ans au plus tard au 31 décembre.
L’enfant doit être propre pour entrer en maternelle.
Application Deadlines
Calendrier d’inscription
The application deadline for pre-elementary programs (preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten) is November 30. Applications received after this date will be considered according to availability. Applicants are required to submit an online application form and a Teacher’s Reference Report, if applicable.
Délais d’inscription : 30 novembre – les demandes nous parvenant après cette date seront placées sur liste d’attente. Une demande d’inscription n’est considérée que lorsque le formulaire en ligne est complété et que le document d’évaluation par les professeurs est en notre possession.
Interviews
Entretiens d’admission
Interviews are held in early January. Children are seen individually or in small groups by our Learning Support Specialist while parents meet with the Campus Director.
Nos entretiens se déroulent début janvier, les enfants sont vus en petits groupes et les parents s’entretiennent avec le directeur de campus.
1st through 12th Grade Admissions
Pour une intégration du CP à la terminale
Students coming from public or private French schools formally recognized by the French Ministry of National Education are admitted at the level stated by the previous school, based on the official ‘bulletins scolaires’ submitted with the application.
1st through 9th grade students coming from private schools or from overseas schools not recognized by the French Ministry of National Education will be admitted upon assessment. Sufficient fluency in spoken and written French is necessary. Students are required to submit a completed online application form, teacher’s reference, report cards/transcripts and standardized tests from the previous three years as applicable for the grade of entry.
Lorsque l’élève vient d’un établissement reconnu par le Ministère de l’Education Nationale, l’admission se fait automatiquement sous réserve de places diponibles et nous appliquons les décisions de passage du conseil de classe.
Si ce n’est pas le cas, l’élève sera évalué, son niveau de français doit être suffisant et ses résultats aux différents tests et examens des 3 dernières années sont demandés pour l’examen de son dossier.
International Baccalaureate 10th Grade Admissions
For students wishing to begin at the International School of Los Angeles in the 10th grade, we offer the two-year IB Diploma Program starting in 11th grade, designed for college-bound students motivated to embark on a rigorous educational challenge. For further information about our IB program, please go to our High School page. Students are required to submit an online application form, report cards/transcripts and standardized tests from 6th grade and up, and a 500-word essay titled “Why I Want to be an IB Student.”

Application Fee for Online Applications
Frais de demande d’inscription
The non-refundable fee for the online application is $200 for each applying child. This must be paid online by electronic check or credit card as part of the application process.
