GULF MEDICAL UNIVERSITY BACHELOR OF MEDICINE & SURGERY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants shall meet all criteria for undergraduate admission as laid down in the Standards (2007) published by the Commission for Academic Accreditation, Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, UAE.
The applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 years of education in school and passed courses in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Higher Secondary School.
Students who complete their secondary school education as per UK curriculum must have completed at least two of the three science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in ‘AS’ levels or ‘A’ levels provided they have passed in all the three subjects in their ‘O’ levels. The minimum grade required is ‘C’ at AS level in Chemistry, Biology or Physics
The applicant must have secured a minimum of 80% marks as per U.A.E. Secondary School education standards or its equivalent in each of the three science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
A score of at least 25 of IB (International Baccalaureate) and for holders of American Diploma a minimum score of 80% is required in addition to a SAT II score of at least 550 in Biology.
An aggregate score of 75% of Pakistan Board, 80% of Indian State Board and 75% of Indian Central Board while the minimum score of 70% in each subject of Biology, Physics and Chemistry is required.
The applicant must have completed 17 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the year of admission and cannot be more than 28 years of age.
The applicant must have proficiency in spoken and written English and Sciences terminology.
The applicant must have completed a course in English language proficiency such as TOEFL or IELTS. A minimum score of 500 TOEFL (173 CBT, 61 IBT) or its equivalent in a standardized English language test, such as 5.0 IELTS.
The applicant shall appear for a personal interview before the GMU Admissions Committee.
The Admissions Committee shall evaluate all applicants for both cognitive and noncognitive traits demonstrating their aptitude for the chosen area of study.
Applicants shall submit all academic documents and official transcripts / credits / grades / marks duly attested by the Ministry of Education, U.A.E. and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, U.A.E. or U.A.E. Embassy in their country on admission into the program.
Students of Indian nationality are required to obtain an “Eligibility Certificate” from the Medical Council/Dental Council/Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi before they seek admission into the Gulf Medical University.
On admission, the student shall submit a copy of the birth certificate or proof of age, passport, and a copy of UAE nationality ID (Khulasat Al-Kayd), a Certificate of Good Conduct. A medical fitness certificate including blood test results, six recent color photographs, a written pledge by the applicant agreeing to comply with University rules and regulations, the application form duly filled up with complete details, a receipt for payment of a non-refundable fee towards admission.

CANADIAN UNIVERSITY DUBAI BACHELOR OF MEDICINE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The UAE High School Certificate or its equivalent is required with an average score of 60% or more (an average of 70% or more is required for entry into some of the academic programs; see the Program Specific Requirements section for more information).
A High School Certificate obtained abroad must be processed in accordance with decrees No. 200/2004 and 312 /2004 of His Excellency the Minister of Education UAE, as follows:
Broadly, a holder of the National High School Certificate of a foreign country is eligible for admission if:
The certificate is valid for admission to a public university of the Country in which it was issued
The certificate was obtained on completion of at least 11 years of schooling
The certificate includes at least six (6) subjects covering the four core fields of: Mathematics, Sciences, Languages, and the Social Sciences & Humanities or Arts
A holder of High School Certificates from any country that has two levels of High School Certificate must submit the higher level of certificate
