Commercial Bank of Africa is one of the top employers in Kenya and among few banks with good salaries.
According to our survey, fresh graduates who are recruited as clerks or graduate trainees earn Ksh 65,000-Ksh 75,000 while sales executives earn Ksh25, 000-Ksh35, 000.This is the starting gross salary which is subjected to taxation.
If you compare with a bank like equity, you will notice that there is a gap of Ksh 25,000 since Equity bank pays a starting salary of Ksh 40,000.
When the employee of CBA completes one year, appraisal occur which enable the company to determine the new salary. The average figure of employees who have stayed at CBA for one year is Ksh 70,000-Ksh 85,000.
Operations managers at CBA earn between Ksh 180,000 to Ksh 250,000 while branch managers earn Ksh 250,000-Ksh 400,000.
The highest paid employees are directors who earn up to Ksh 3.5 million.
The Chief Executive Officer of the bank earns Ksh 2.5 –Ksh 3.5 million.
In this bank, most employees earn above Ksh 100,000.It is almost obvious that when you stay at CBA bank for at least 3 years, you will earn more than Ksh 100, 000, which is cool.
