KCSE Grade Required to Do a Degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management in Kenya



A degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management is among the most marketable programs in Kenya. The program can be pursued under parallel or regular program, which means that the KCSE grade required is different for the two systems.

If a student joins any Kenyan university as a regular program, the ideal grade required by most universities is at least a B+ while parallel program requires at least aggregate grade of a C+.But you should be aware that when it comes to regular program, no university can determine the entry grades, the responsibility rests upon KUCCPS, which determines the cluster points. But entry requirements for parallel program are determined by universities.

Admission Requirements
KCSE Mean grade C+ with C in Maths and English or two principal passes in KACE or Credit in relevant Diploma.

At Cooperative University of Kenya, these are minimum entry requirements

KCSE Aggregate grade “C+” and grades “C” in Mathematics and English or be a holder of Diploma from any other Institution recognized by the University Senate

At Mount Kenya University, Supplies and Procurement Management, Accounting requires the following minimum entry qualifications

KCSE Aggregate grade “C+” and grades “C” in Mathematics and English or be a holder of Diploma from any other Institution recognized by the University Senate

At African Nazarene University, Admission requirements include:

Overall Grade of C+ in KCSE and C in Maths

Division II (O’ level), 2 principals & a Subsidiary (A’level),
5 credits in IGCSE or equivalent
Minimum GPA of 2.7 from Pre-University

Minimum GPA of 2.3 from Diploma
Credit pass at Diploma level

Exemption Status Exemptions awarded to applicants with a minimum GPA of 2.7.


The University of Nairobi offers Procurement and Supply Chain Management degree course and here are admission requirements

Admission will be on the basis of academic qualifications and more specifically will be governed by any one of the following Senate approved regulations:

The common regulations of the bachelor’s degree of the University of Nairobi shall be applicable.

The following are eligible for admission into the programme:

  1. a) Holder of KCSE certificate with a minimum aggregate of  C+ and a minimum of  C in both Mathematics and English/Kiswahili.

Holder of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and  a minimum of a credit  (6)  pass in Mathematics at KCE.

Holder of a degree from a recognized university.

Holder of a diploma from a recognized institution.

Holder of  CPA/CPS  Part II or equivalent professional qualification.

Holder of pre-university qualification with minimum average score of C or equivalent from a recognized university.

Holder of qualifications deemed to be equivalent to any of the above.
