You can pursue Pharmacy course in Kenya at diploma or degree level. Admission requirements to various universities are as outlined below;

United States International University Bachelor of Pharmacy Admission Requirements

Applicants must have met the minimum entry requirements for the pharmacy degree course in Kenya.

  1. KCSE System of Education

Applicants must have obtained an average weight of B- provided that no subject in this cluster shall have a grade below C+.

  2. The provisions of the PPB Credit Waiver Policy Guidelines shall apply.

This curriculum shall be administered in English. This means applicants from non-English speaking countries must sit and pass English assessment examination set and administered by institutions recognised by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

a. KCSE (Direct) Entry:

  • Mean Grade: B- With C+ in Mathematics/Physics,
    Chemistry/Physical Science,Biology/Biological Science
    and English/Kiswahili.

  • Enrolled as a Pharmaceutical Technologist by the PPB.

UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI BACHELOR OF PHARMACY(B.PHARM) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have satisfied the University’s general admission criteria of a mean grade C+ (plus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E). A minimum C+ (plus) grade pass will be mandatory in each of the cluster subjects. The cluster subjects

for Bachelor of Pharmacy in K.C.S.E are as follows:

  4. English or Kiswahili

Eligibility for consideration for admission into the Module II Bachelor of Pharmacy programme shall be governed by the  following  admission requirements, outlined under each category:

  • Dental Sciences

Holders of any degree in Biological Sciences from the  University of Nairobi        or equivalent qualifications from a recognised University.

Holders of other qualifications deemed to be equivalent to (2.1 – 2. mentioned above.

Applicants from non-English speaking countries must sit and pass English  assessment examination set and administered by institutions recognised by University of Nairobi Senate.

MASENO UNIVERSITY BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES(WITH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be admitted into the Pharmaceutical Science with IT degree program at Maseno University, the applicant must:

  1.  Be a holder of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree or equivalent recognized by Moi University Senate
    b.    Be registered or registrable as a Pharmacist by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
    c.    Meet the common Moi University Graduate Studies and MUSOM rules governing entry to the Master of Medicine programmes
    d.    International applicants from non-English speaking countries should provide evidence of proficiency in English
    e.    Pass admission interview administered by the departmental admission committee
